Designer glasses, fitted in person
Designer glasses at Lens Society are chosen and fitted in person. An optician helps you narrow the frames that work with your prescription and face, takes measurements in the frame you choose, checks the finished lenses, and adjusts the glasses on you at pickup.
Why fitting matters more than the label
Two people can wear the same frame and have very different results. A strong prescription looks thinner in a smaller lens. A progressive lens needs enough frame height for the reading area. A bridge that does not match your nose makes any frame slide. The optician's job is to catch those things before you order.
The fitting, step by step
Talk about how you use your glasses
Screens, driving, reading, sport. Your day decides the lens design and which frame shapes make sense.
Try frames that fit your face and prescription
A strong prescription or a progressive lens narrows the field, and the optician will steer you to frames that work with it.
Take measurements
Pupil distance and, for progressives and bifocals, fitting height, measured in the frame you chose.
Order and check
Lenses are made to those measurements. When they arrive, we check them against your prescription before you pick up.
Adjust at pickup
Temples, nose pads and fit are adjusted on your face so the glasses sit level and stay put.
After you pick up
Frames loosen with wear. Bring your glasses back if they slide, pinch or sit crooked, and we will adjust them. Our full adjustment, repair and remake policy will be posted here once it is final.
