About Lens Society
Lens Society is an independent optometry practice and eyewear boutique in Sterling Heights. Dr. Yousif Ghaleb, O.D., provides the eye care, and our optical team helps you choose and fit glasses. One office, one doctor you can get to know, and frames chosen one at a time.
Why an independent practice
Most people buy glasses in one of two ways: a quick exam and a wall of frames at a chain, or a guess online. Lens Society sits between those. The exam is thorough and unhurried, the frames are chosen for fit as much as for looks, and the person who measured you is the person who adjusts your glasses when you pick them up.
Being independent means decisions about your care are made here, by the doctor who examined you. The clinical practice, Lens Society PLLC, is owned by Dr. Ghaleb, who has independent authority over every clinical decision.
How we work
Clinical decisions stay with the doctor
Your exam, your prescription and any referral are Dr. Ghaleb's decisions. Business staff never override them.
Your prescription is yours
You receive your glasses prescription after your exam and can fill it anywhere. We would like to make your glasses, but you never have to.
Fit before fashion
The optician will tell you if a frame will not work with your prescription or your face, even if it looks great on the wall.
Plain answers about cost
We check your benefits before you order and tell you what you will pay before anything is made.
The boutique
The office on 15 Mile Road has a front room for browsing frames, fitting tables where the opticians take measurements, and a separate exam room. Photos of the space will be posted here.
